The Gumi branch of the Federation of Artistic & Cultural Organization of Korea is a private group that organizes local artists who are working for the progress of local art and culture and supports artists' friendship and rights.

Major activities include :
- Projects to provide citizens' art and cultural activity opportunities
- Projects to promote art and culture
- Local art and culture exchange projects

Eight member groups include the Korean Traditional Music Association, Dance Association, Writers Association, Art Association, Photographers Association, Theatrical performance Association, Entertainment Association, and Music Association.

Gumi Cultural Center

The Gumi Cultural Center is a private cultural group that performs various activities to promote local culture :
- Developing, spreading, inheriting and promoting unique local culture
- Researching local history and collecting and preserving historical materials
- Holding local cultural events
- Exchanging local traditional culture domestically and abroad
- Supporting social educational activities on local culture
- Performing other related projects that contribute to local cultural progress
